Taize-style prayer to be said in a quiet place. This also can be accompanied by soft music. Start by breathing deeply and saying/singing the first line three times and thereafter each time shorten the phrase:
Be Still and Know that I am God..... Be Still and Know that I am... Be Still and Know.... Be Still.... Be..... Be in a quiet state for at least 5 minutes with God......then end by saying: Be.... Be Still..... Be Still and know.... Be Still and Know that I am...... Be Still and KNow that I am God.......... Lectio Divina is an ancient prayer technique for reading the Bible slowly and contemplatively, allowing God's word to shed insights on you life. It cultivates the ability to listen deeply, to hear the word of God with the ear of your heart. Lectio Divina was practiced in the early Christian monasteries of the third and fourth centuries. In the sixth century, it was written into the Rule of Saint Benedict as a requirement for spiritual life of monks. Click here to learn more.
Praying the LabyrinthLabyrinths have been prayed, studied, danced, traced and drawn as Christians sought to use this spiritual tool to draw closer to God. Using a labyrinth involves moving one's body and opening one's heart to Jesus. All you have to do is follow the path and you will find the center. Click here for more information: Labyrinth
