Playlist for Reconciliation candidates formation:
1. You are Blessed!
At the end of each day, or at dinner time, name three things that you are grateful to God for today and one thing that you are sorry for.
2. The Best Version of Yourself
Use the 4 steps from the video to help you to make decisions beginning this week.
1—Find a quiet place and spend a few minutes listening to your conscience. Ask yourself: What is my conscience encouraging me to do? 2—Think about the Ten Commandments. Ask yourself: Do the Ten Commandments help me to see clearly what I should do in this situation? 3—Ask your parents, priest, catechist or teacher for advice. 4—Pray to the Holy Spirit and ask him to help you make the best decisions. |
3. God Sent Jesus to Save Us
Discuss: if you could time travel to a time in Jesus’ life, what would you want to witness and why?
4. Forgiveness and Healing
Begin a family practice of forgiveness. Once a week, have each family member ask for forgiveness for something that has happened over the past week from another family member.
Suggestion: Forgiveness Friday |
5. Your First Reconciliation
Practice an examination of conscience at least three times in preparing for your first Reconciliation. Here are some links if you want to try different examinations:
